“ Ordered takeout from here. The service was great because everything was ready when I arrived. They also offer curbside where they bring your food out to your car. I ordered the bamboo fish, egg custard buns, and duck spring rolls. Everything was well seasoned. Fish was the perfect level of spicy and crispy. Very delicate and delicious. The egg custard buns were SO good. Very sweet custard inside. Will be back! ”

“ Old review; Soft opening for the relaunch tonight!!! New menu... dim sum and a variety of more traditional dishes. Seems like some popular items from other Chang locations like soup dumplings and chongqing red pepper chicken (I think both of those are at Chang's Bethesda location). Limited drink menu currently but full food is available. Since the soft opening, we have eaten in several times and do take away on a regular basis. This place is awesome! ”

“ I'm back for the new menu! Soup dumplings are my absolute favorite type of dumpling. I love the flavorful broth that bursts into your mouth each bite. When I heard NiHao had them, I knew I had to go. Sesame Beef with Spicy General Tso's Sauce--a crispy beef covered in delicious sauce. Need I say more? Peking Duck--I had never had this before. The duck was tender, and the skin was crispy. Rolling all the parts into the pancake was good, but I preferred eating just the duck because of how well it was seasoned and cooked. Soup Dumplings--give me more please!! Scallion Bubble Pancake--a must order. Dipping it into the curry sauce is everything Sizzling Black Pepper--we were sooo happy we ordered this. Loved the mini scallops and sauce Szechuan Popcorn Chicken--this flavor pops in your mouth! I think this was our favorite dish of the night Veggie Spring Roll & all the Dumplings we ordered were so good as well! The servings here are easily shared, so go with someone who wants to split a couple dishes. I also asked for a strawberry based mocktail and it hit! If you drink alcohol I recommend trying something with the BaiJiu in it. Delcious! ”

“ Went back to this fabulous place with my daughter for an early dinner. We went at six on a Friday night and there was lots of room. We ordered some dim sum, including the pork dumplings, the chili oil wontons, and the soup dumplings and then had the sweet-and-sour chicken, it was all really delicious. I wish there was the ability to give 4.5 stars which is where I would put this place but I'm landing at four only because while it was very good. It wasn't the absolute best. ”

“ I really enjoyedthis spot! I first heard about this place on TikTok when I was looking for a really good place to get dumplings and I was so excited to find out about this place because it's not too far from our neighborhood so we were able to walk over. We came without a reservation and they were still able to see us immediately . Our server was very courteous and gave us good recommendations for what to try since it was our first time. I wanted to try the jumbo shrimp, but unfortunately it was out, but I was able to try the pineapple, sweet and sour shrimp and that was definitely one of my favorite parts of the entire meal! The cucumber salad was so refreshing, although it was a little bit hard to eat because pieces were kind of long . The sauce on the pork ribs was so so good.! The dumplings were really good and definitely satisfied my craving. The only thing I would've changed about our experience would be trying to sit at a larger table because we ordered quite a bit of food and we had a hard time putting all of the platters on our table. The restaurant is really cute and it is fairly small with a bar on the front side and then seating on the backside, but it looks like there was also an upstairs portion that I didn't see ,so I think there is a good amount of extra seating in the upper level. I can't wait to come back here again! ”

“ I enjoyed the food overall that I got from here, but it is entirely too expensive as a take-out option in my opinion. It appears the prices are set to be a dine-in restaurant, but most people use it as a take out option (the area calls for it!). I would come back to get the true dining experience, but I would think twice before the $50 take out order. GLOWS: -The scallion fried rice was delicious . It was flavorful and light. -The veggie dumplings were pretty good too. -The servers inside were friendly when I went to pick up my order. GROWS: -The sweet and sour chicken had a very greasy flavor to it. The sauce was good, but you could also taste the grease. It was very heavy overall. -As stated previously, the expense is created because everything is an entree and comes a la carte. A $20+ dish doesnt come with any sides--So you have to add rice making a Meal almost $40 ”

“ This was our first time at NiHao, and it will definitely be our new go to spot for dim sum in the city. The food was amazing, the service was incredible, and the atmosphere was quaint. The restaurant itself goes up 3 stories with tables on each floor, giving it an old school feel. What we ordered: - 8 pork soup dumplings (MUST HAVE) - cold Szechuan noodles - 2 pork belly bao buns (MUST HAVE) - 6 shrimp and pork dumplings - 6 steamed pork dumplings (MUST HAVE) - honey bbq spare ribs ”

“ I recently returned to NiHao for a yummy dinner feast. It was my first time dining here since the ownership change and the menu revamp. I was happy to see gluten free options clearly marked which made making decisions very easy. I ordered the rice shrimp dumplings, the sichuan cold noodles, the calamari, the tofu skin and cabbage, and the sweet and sour fried fish. My ultimate favorites were the cold noodles, the calamari, and the tofu. I'm honestly still thinking about the tofu now weeks later. The sauce was flavorful but not overpowering and the texture of the tofu was just perfect. The cabbage was nice and crunchy as well. You know it was good because it was the only thing I didn't get a picture of! The calamari was incredibly impressive, especially for being gluten free. And the cold noodles really satisfied my hankering for lo mein. I probably wouldn't get the fish again although it was a beautiful presentation and still very yummy. I think the sweet and sour sauce just wasn't my favorite and there sure was a ton of it. Although the cocktail menu seems to be pretty undeveloped at this point, I'll definitely be back for more of that tofu. ”
